Well, I just arrived home after seeing the Police tonight for the first time this tour. They were AMAZING! The band is incredibly tight, no mistakes that I could see or hear, with the exception of one or two miscounts, but otherwise perfect. I am so happy and grateful and full of joy to hear them play live, and together, that frankly I almost cried a couple of times! Who knew I would be such a goof about these three. But after listening to these albums for so many years, and watching a few videos, the joy of watching these three incredibly talented musicians play and sing together and be excellent at their craft is beyond words. (although I seem to be using quite a few!) The set list reported for the Saturday night Denver show is the same as the Sunday night show - and they played for 2 hours, with Fiction Plane clocking in at 45 minutes. And by the way I was lucky enough to see The Police here in Denver (am visiting my sister) and will see them again in a month in Detroit. Wow, am I happy about that! I didn't mention (although it was previously mentioned) that all three were in great moods. And NO ONE has talked about the percussion that Stewart is using in a few songs!! I sure wish they were playing more numbers so that he could spend more time on them. Really, really great. I'm glad they aren't playing Murder by Numbers; honestly it doesn't feel like a good fit for the setlist. So buckle your seatbelts, folks. This is by far the best Sting concert (hahahahahaha), or any concert, that I have ever seen! Michelle (from Michigan, in Denver, ready to go to sleep singing So Lonely, Bed's Too Big, Every Breath -- the list goes ever on...)
