hi

recently I went to Jean Roussel's home near Paris and asked him a bit about his work on "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" (which was recorded at LeStudio in Morin Heights, Canada in the winter of 1980/1981).

As it turned out Sting returned to Jean's house in Montreal a while later and they wrote and recorded a few more songs together (like "I Don't Think We Could Ever Be Friends" or "Don't You Believe Me, Baby").
"I Don't Think We Could Ever Be Friends" eventually turned up on a Dusty Springfield record, whereas "Don't You Believe Me, Baby" is still unreleased.

Jean didn't have those demos anymore, so I sent a CD to him.
I like the song, at least the chorus is quite catchy. The verse could need some work as it's quite repetitive (but not bad, I think). It seems Jean would like to work on that song again.

I'm trying to work out the lyrics for the "Ghost" demo "Don't You Believe Me, Baby" for him. I had other fans working on that one, too. Our collaborative efforts so far can be seen here:

if you own a good copy of the "Ghost" demos please listen to the song and its lyrics. Let me know if you can understand the few parts we didn't get at all - or if you can correct other stuff we thought we had understood !!

thanks

Dietmar

PS: for those who don't have it - it's also on youtube, but doesn't sound that good -  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uNLtTZ10YBU
