What on earth is the
point of the sting.com "survey" (newsletter subscribers should have received
it).
"We want to continue
to bring you the kinds of promotions and offers that you enjoy so please let us
know what you think".
Well, I wasn't given
an opportunity in the survey to say what I think, but I AM thinking "What
the hell do these questions have to do with the kinds of promotions I'm being
offered..."
1. Race.
Being a white caucasian, will I get better or worse promotions than anyone who
answers hispanic, or black?
2.
Income. If I earn less than $25,000, will I get subsidies on tickets or
albums, compared to someone who has an income of over
$100,000???
3.
Gender. Will I get worse presale tickets because I don't have breasts (ok,
I do have breasts, but they're not quite the same on a man).
4. Will I miss
out on special offers or promotions because I don't visit "Womens issues"
websites, or visit music downloading sites???
I'm really not
thinking that the survey is for our benefit at all, but to give Ultrastar
some demographic data about us... I really don't see how our answers
are going to enhance the promotions we get.
Anyone else have any
ideas?
