I've had the Sting "Feyd Rautha" figure since the movie came out, in what '84? At a job I had about 10 years ago I kept the figure displayed near my computer. So my buddy at the next cube brought his Baron Harkonnen figure in and put it up in his cube. David Lynch ended up coming in to see a project we were developing and noticed our Dune figures. He must have thought we got them in his honor, but we'd had them up months before we knew he'd be coming through. Setlist Question

I have a question about the setlist from the beginning of the tour: I thought they dropped Spirits by the 3rd Vancouver show, but thepolice.com shows the setlist for each of the 3 Vancouver shows to be exactly the same. I don't think that is right. Am I remembering this incorrectly? Does anyone know when Spirits was dropped? And when Murder was dropped? Thanks, Bruce

New York Halloween Show

Well, tonight was a funny night, for sure.and will probably go down in The Police history books as a unique night: In Halloween spirit, the boys came out in full costume! Andy was dressed as Charlie Chaplin, Stewart had his face painted a ghoulish white with blood running down from his lips, wore a weird thing on his headband, and a cape (until it got in the way of his drumming), and Sting was dressed as a joker. He wore a joker hat, a black mask that covered his eyes, and had a black and yellow diamond patterned top and black tights with yellow diamonds on the sides and a big sparkly thing over his "package" as my wife, Tara, calls it. And no, I am NOT kidding about ANY of this! Sting finally took his hat and mask for the encores, but Andy remained as Charlie Chaplin the whole night! Stewart had a "wardrobe adjustment" not far into the main set. It was certainly funny to see, though I must admit that I was glad when Sting finally took the mask and hat off. Being able to see Sting and his facial expressions certainly is an important part of the show. Must go to bed now. Cheers, Bruce

I have been checking and does anyone else find it interesting/strange that these upcoming shows are not selling out. I mean I can still go on ticketmaster and buy 4 seats in a row to tonights show at MSG...let alone Fridays and Saturdays down in Atlantic City where face value seats are all still available. I am just wondering what this says in terms of them playing more dates, more tours etc. It may be the first swing through they sell out easy for the nostalgia value but second time through its a little tougher sale as nostalgia people have mostly gone. Not sure though. It also may be they are just pricing these tickets too high and they are not selling out. I mean Atlantic city theater is not that big even. I wonder if they will sell out MSG by concert time tonight? David L

In case you haven't heard, I won a pair of tix on sting.com to see Sting [briefly] sing at the Herbie Hancock tribute at the Thelonious Monk Inst. competition this Sunday eve at the Kodak Theater in Hollywood!!! Being a jazz fan, I will get to hear a bunch of jazz favs along with some rock/pop favs sing to HH--I cannot wait!!!! Chris Botti will be there as well, along with Nancy Wilson, Wayne Shorter, Terence Blanchard, etc. woo-hoo!!! So excited... night on the town--it's been a while! No doubt I'll be up in some balcony somewhere... although I hope that's not true... either way, I'm IN THE HOUSE!!!! Tell you all about it--hopefully there'll be stuff to tell!!--next week.
