Botti's new DVD

Well, I ordered Chris Botti's new DVD from SonyMusicDirect.com, and received it yesterday.just in time for my fortieth birthday. May I say, "What A Gift!" I made everyone watch it with me last night (after all, it was my birthday!), and I do believe I've converted a few folks into Botti fans. Actually, Chris, Sting, and Shawn Colvin (and my kick-arse surround system) did all the work. What a talent-smoldering, sexy, smooth.and the music ain't bad, either! (hahaha). It's visually and musically stunning, best when viewed at night with low light and your lover. Way to go, Chris. Peace, Love, & Sting, .and Botti, too! Jen "Be yourself, no matter what they say."

Does anybody remember, in the good old Police days, Sting inserting "best to be without you" for "bed's too big without you"? I'm certain I heard this at a few shows, but have no proof. Thanks, Steve S.

I downloaded them all,and then found a link to the page on CDBaby where you can buy the Santa's Boyfriend CD.There are more songs there which I'm listening to now,and...wow.I love his voice.:) This is the page: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/santasboyfriend and I have a question about it I hope you or someone else can answer.The page says that Fiction Plane were goingto perform at Glastonbury - did it actually happen?I watched the festival on TV,but they didn't show everything that was going on,so maybe the band were there but not shown?And if so,does anyone know where I could find video footage? They'll always be Santa's Boyfriend to me. Fiction Plane is so... plain... I'm glad a few people on the list have gotten to discover this band. They're really excellent, and if you've seen them live, you know they have a great future ahead of them... It's unfortunate though that no one here has picked up a copy of their second CD. They were selling it while on tour in England a few months ago... If anyone did pick it up, please share. I know several people have already asked, but it just seems weird to me that no one would have it... Anyway, looking forward to their official release... Do those of you who watch Saturday Night Live remember a bit called "Paul Simon in Hell", where he gets on an elevator, doesn't realize he's dead, and the devil appears (played hilariously by Jon Lovitz) and tells him that he's in Hell and his eternal torture is to listen to Muzak versions of his hit songs? With lots of replays of "The 59th Street Bridge Song"? Well..... Last night I was watching a local cable news channel that uses a local radio station as background music. They started playing some Muzak-type number and I thought , "Hmm... that sounds familiar...OH NO OH NO OH NO, IT'S DESERT ROSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Yes, it was Desert Rose as played by a 60-piece orchestra. It turned out to be a commercial for a new album of love songs. And guess who was narrating the commercial/selling the album? JOHN TESH!! THE ALIEN HIMSELF!!! He even mentions Sting in the narrative of the commercial, while a very sad version of Seal's "Kiss From a Rose" played in the background. I only heard it for a minute, but my overall impression was "ouch". Have a great weekend, and don't buy any "Sting in Hell" albums ;-) Holly
