I agree. I don't rate this tour as highly as those in support of Dream of
the Blue Turtles and Nothing Like the Sun, but I would NOT call it boring.
Sting puts on a fabulous show, reworking the songs, connecting with the crowd, and
displaying--a rarity in this era--actual musicianship.
The focus of a Sting concert is the music. It's not a Britney-like lip-synch
extravaganza where choreography masks musical ineptitude. Maybe times have
changed and people expect Vegas-style glitz over art, but give me Sting and his
virtuosity any day.
And by the way, "Hole in My Life" rocked.
