Hello As Dietmar I don't understand Sting's purposes. I know these are all his songs , he is the composer of them all but they are so linked with The Police. For a man who does not love nostalgia ...I respect the man's musical positions , I can understand the John Dowland and the Winter albums , I even like them both compared to his last studios attempts even though there were some good songs , but the musical direction was so bizarre. I don' t care if Sting's records do not not rock anymore, even though the music is good. But I still love his voice and still wait for soething better. So in the meantime you can still listen to Animal Logic, Oysterhead and to the Maestro compositions ( I m not fair, am I ? !!) I know I will be setting my record audio for this xm radio show. It says exclusive interview and some songs...dunno. But will check it out this weekend and wanted to be sure to pass along. I was always hoping for some stuff like this during the Police tour but was somewhat disappointed by the lack of extra stuff and tie-ins etc. David L. Yes, it was canceled on April 21st....the reason given was a scheduling conflict...not sure whose schedule (the venue or Sting's). Sorry, but as a Sting fan, I enjoyed this WAY more than anything on the Winter album. I had the great good fortune to see Keith Emerson and Greg Lake last Friday (Happy Anniversary to me!) in a little theater, very intimate setting, and they took questions from the audience. Someone asked if they would be interested in performing with a symphony orchestra. Keith , who has performed with many symphony orchestras as keyboardist extraordinaire, said that when they first started, no symphony would dream of playing with a rock act; they all turned up their noses and sniffed at the thought. Now, symphonies are seeking out rock acts to play with, supposedly to bring symphonic music to a new audience, but probably just for the money. Both Keith and Greg said that they would be open to such an arrangement, and they hinted that Carl Palmer may be rejoining them when they return to England this week. I can tell you that, for a $35 ticket, we were treated to a show nearly as good as the Emerson, Lake, and Palmer concert we saw at the Spectrum in Philadelphia the year we were married! (Yes, we are officially old). In that show, Keith only played two keyboards; in this one, five.(Well, 4 and a Moog). So I guess I would love to see the Sting Symphonicity stuff, but I need a government bailout to afford the ticket! Will there be a CD or DVD? That I could afford!! Have a great week, everyone! I know I will -- my son has been studying overseas for a year, and we're picking him up at Newark Airport on Thursday!! Woo-hoo! Holly
