There was an article on Andy's guitar techniques with the Police in the April 2010 issue of Guitar Player. They also published a web version with fewer pictures linked below.

Although technical in nature, there are some interesting insights to Andy's approach to various Police songs.
Enjoy,

this recording has not been in circulation until early this week. It
doesn't sound very good, though! The Police's songs are cut, Next To You has
terrible speed problems. But it's still a unique performance of Stewart with
Brian James plus an impromptu Police mini-gig from a year with almost no
circulating live recordings !!
I sent around about 10 CDs to people in France, The Netherlands, Spain,
Italy and the USA - without any track separation or sound improvement.
I guess a few of those people will try to work on the recording to enhance
quality.
If someone wants the recording as it is: send an e-mail with your e-mail
address.
I might send a copy myself or let one of those original recipients send
you a copy.
The next step might be getting the original tape and make another louder
transfer onto CD...
but although flawed this CD-R is good enough for people who like how the
Police played in their prime (or shortly before that :)...
bye
