Welcome back.... It's been very quiet here. Sting's in Europe (or maybe Russia now), other than that, nothing exciting besides the "lute" CD coming in the fall. Guess that's exciting if you're into lute music! sting memorabilia

Hi all! I was a member of this list a loooong time ago, from looking at recent posts, I recognize some familiar names, hi to everyone, especially Bill Bredice! I am moving, and I came across all my Sting memorabilia that I was hoping to sell but never got around to it. Now I am offering it to anyone who would like to come and get it, I¹m on the upper east side of Manhattan and I am moving next Fri, 7/28, so you would need to get it by then. I¹ve got lots of random stuff, mostly magazines with Sting/Police on the cover, concert programs, posters, newspaper articles, also this octagonal paper lantern with pictures of the Police on all sides, a Sting calendar, and more... and as an added bonus, I¹ll throw in the Nuclear Waste cd in the tin can! Stewart on German TV

Hello, there was a short 5 min. interview with Stewart from the Munich Film Festival on German TV yesterday. A repeat will be broadcast tomorrow morning (22.08) at 9.15 CET on Bayern 3. EVERYONE STARES - Munich screening

I've decided to travel the long way and visit the Munich screening of EVERYONE STARES on Stewart's birthday. I must say that I already own an advance DVD so I didn't need to see the movie that desperately. But it was a very nice event. It was all part of the Munich Film Festival. Munich is a nice city in general. And just when all the Football (Soccer) fans left the town the film people arrived. So it was very alive again. And lots of national and international movie business people could be seen around this cinema (and probably others). Eberhard Schoener was there and introduced the screening with some kind words to THE POLICE and Stewart in particular. The movie was slightly different from my advance copy. That had to do with copyright reasons. But it doesn't affect any scenes with members of THE POLICE. The titles and the credit sequence also changed just slightly. The sound was bad. But that was a technical problem of the cinema. The movie itself was in Dolby Digital 5.1. But the cinema showed it in some other format. So the music was deafeningly loud compared to the spoken language. After the movie Stewart entertained the audience with some stand up comedy and answered lots of questions. Then he took some time to talk to a few fans and autographed stuff. The event surrounding the screening itself was captured on video, but I can't let you know too much about that right now... So for all those who have not yet seen the movie: it's only two more months until you'll see bits of THE POLICE like you've never seen them. And hear the very personal story of their drummer. A very nice and funny man. He's got a very friendly manager, too - Derek Power. And Eberhard Schoener is a kind man, too. Very quiet, yet very passionate about music. I hope that you'll soon see and hear what he said about the POLICE and what he thought of their music, because it was quite interesting! Plus there was a real emotional highlight for me as well. But maybe you'll see that on video or DVD soon, too. Dietmar

Does anybody know if the Police or one of them(Andy, Stew or Sting) ever released a Synchronicity rehearsals cd(or something) called Caught in the Act? Was going through my collection of Police stuff that I have in my iTunes and looking at a lot of rare stuff that I have found on various websites and downloaded. Have about 11 songs and they're all labeled as "Synchronicity Rehearsals: Caught In the Act"..... Any ideas anyone? Don't remember where I downloaded them from or I'd return to the source.... Hi, It's already possible to pre-order Sting's forthcoming CD on Amazon.co.uk, but I can't do the same with the Police DVD. Is the release date mentioned only for the American market? :( Is a UK date planned at all, or will we have to get hold of it from Italy somehow? Ang
