Just in case anyone's interested in Eberhard Schoener and his collaborations with The Police: there's a new German 2CD set out which also features quite some stuff with Sting, Stewart & Andy: http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000E5KOOI I havn't bought it yet and I'm not sure whether these are all versions which have been previously released or whether Schoener did some remixing on the the old masters. joerg.

Henry Padovani's book and CD

Hi I received the book and CD yesterday. The book has about 370 pages and a few pages of photos. 5 photos of the POLICE including the cover picture. Two photos were completely new to me - and that means something! Although it's in French it's a nice item as it will be sent to you by Henry in person once you've contacted him at _info(a)henrypadovani.com_ (mailto:info@henrypadovani.com) (and paid, of course)... I've tried to read a bit and a lot of the book is about THE POLICE, of course. A nice addition to Sting's book. The last bit of Henry's book is about him contacting Stewart and Sting again for their collaboration on one song of Henry's new CD. The track WELCOME HOME really is a nice song. Cool sounds, great relaxed Copeland drums and (mostly) a phoned in bass line - with exceptions. But that fits to the song. There are some more nice songs on the CD (which normally wouldn't be my style), but it's worth buying it for this new "Police"-track only. bye Dietmar

Hi is this mailing list out of order? Or are there no more POLICE fans? about Andy's guitar DVD: I received the DVD today and can recommend it to everybody. It's been a while since I've seen the VHS. This DVD has added value for guitarists. 154 minutes more than half an hour of POLICE material he explains his guitar riffs for Roxanne, Message, Bring On The Night, De Do Do Do, Spirits, Murder... and then plays some songs live with his band - sounds great you can also re-visit the parts you want to study and watch them in slow-motion (while the sound has been pitched and stays at the right tone). --- it's a region free NTSC DVD (Code 0) with English sound (of course), but has subtitles in French, German, Espanol and Italian. So there's no reason not to buy it! Dietmar

Available soon on DVD! Jean Henri Meunier's new movie 'ici najac à vous la terre' is in the Cannes film festival official selection 2006. Henry wrote the music and they will climb the red carpeted stairs later on in May... The title song of the movie 'ici najac' is on Henry's CD. As the song WELCOME HOME on Henry's CD is sort of a POLICE reunion you ought to BUY the record.
