Well, I enjoyed it! I was all the way up at the top of the grandstand on the right, but the sound was quite clear and (with binoculars) I didn't miss a thing! I thought he looked and sounded great, and so did Annie Lennox. The number of old tunes was a surprise to me -- I've been trying not to read the posted reviews so I wouldn't have the setlist memorized -- and the overKipperization was not too bad. My experience was a little disrupted by two things: The idiot on my right was one of those who had a great talent for being able to whistle at an ear-splitting level, and he did it quite often, even after his wife and I both made disparaging remarks about it. Second, it was in a stadium, so everyone felt free to smoke, even cigars, which (sorry, smokers) to me smells like a trash fire. Fortunately, it was a cool, clear breezy night, so it wasn't too bad, and by the second encore, we had moved away from the whistling idiot. If anyone on this list has access to Sting, encourage him to find venues that are not necessarily open-air, or that have a no-smoking (and no whistling!!) policy Finally, a question: I bought one of those mugs that says, "A mug shot of Sting and his band" -- I love it!! Does anyone know who did the drawing? Also, the local newspaper put out a special concert edition and distributed it for free right after the concert. I got a couple of extra copies, so anyone out there who must have all things Sting, I'll be glad to send 'em out, first come first served. Have a great weekend! Holly PS -- he ended the concert by saying, "Thank you Pennsylvania -- we'll see you again!!" Does this mean another CD/another tour? PPS -- His Cheb-less version of Desert Rose was perfectly acceptable, and he did A Thousand Years, which was a treat for me. Now, if he would only resurrect When We Dance...<sigh> ;-)

Hi from Hamburg - May 1, 1987 a collaboration with Eberhard Schoener - they performed songs by German composers / writers Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht. I have some songs (mp3) lying around on my harddrive, and I once knew where they were from, but I have forgotten. Its some livething and its Gershwin-songs (I think) They are Mack the Knife (in german), Lonely House, Love song and some more Does anyone know what recording this is?

So glad you had such a great time! I really am convinced that all these reviewers just keep rehashing the same old "he sucks since he left the Police" stuff. They think they need to jump on that bandwagon and can't post a positive review. I loved the Police, but they're gooooonnnnnnnneeeee! Go to Sting to see Sting, or find a new concert to go to! Sorry, I'm just so tired of seeing the same reviews over and over again! I had a great time in NY, and hope to in Sept. when I have better seats in TX. Would love to see some photos from front and center, will you post them on sting.com? Cheers!
