Well, I hate to do this, but I'm going to New York for the first time on Saturday. My college roommates and I have just finished our first years working, so we're celebrating. Anyway, since I'm a high school math teacher (they're both business guys) I have this week off from work. Because of this, I was told that I need to find things to do while there. Anyway, we're trying to stay away from the big tourist traps and find neat things to go to, especially music based. We tried to get Franz Ferdinand tickets but they were sold out, so we're hoping to maybe scalp some or something. Anyway, other than seeing the Daily Show and a Yankees game, we don't have a scheduled plan but plan on attending Ground Zero, etc. I know some of you are from New York, so I'm asking that if there is anything that you feel that most people don't really know about, like secrets of the city. We've talked about Jazz Clubs and I believe we're planning on somewhere called Crow Bar (I may have that wrong) to see some DJ named Sasha (my roommates like that kind of thing. I've always been pretty ignorant to it). So, we're up for about anything. Again, I'm sorry to do this, but many of you are very nice and knowledgeable people, so I hoped you might be able to help me out. Ross

Police/Sting Collection for sale

As I've mentioned previously, my entire collection is up for sale as I prepare to leave the US for Australia! I'm selling everything I own, and that includes all of my Police and Sting records and memorabilia up to the Soul Cages (and even some Ten Summoner's Tales). If I add anything else to the list I'll be sure to let you know, but I think I've now finally completed the inventory. Part of the collection is here in Atlanta with me, part of it is at my mother's house in San Diego- so shipping may be from 2 different locations. Sting in Budapest & Fanbook 2004

Dear all, Wow! I'd just to let you know that Saturday night on 5th June Sting did a fantastic free show in Budapest, Hungary with the audienece of approx. 400,000 people!!! As Sting mentioned, he never did such a huge show before... The set-list has changed a bit, instead of Forget About The Future they played a new rocking version of We'll Be Together. And there was no Walking On The Moon... Great new for the fans that we managed to give Sting the FANBOOK 2004 during a meet & greet party backstage before the gig (thanks to Universal Music Hungary!). He really appreciated it!!! :)))))))) On Friday I also had a chance to make a very exclusive intervew with Dominic Miller (thanks to Universal and Zenenet.hu)!!! Stewart will be playing again in Italy in July; the only confirmed show by now is July 17th in Milano, but more shows have been planned for the rest of Europe, mainly France, Germany and Uk (sorry no Spain by now). Next week I will meet Sting; I'll be together with Universal Music Italy staff, and I've been asked to plan a meet & greet with Sting...not too bad as a fan career, right??? Surely Lydia will be with me together with some fans from my own private mailing list (Illegal Tales); I still don't know how many people I might have the chance to let in, and everything is still on hold, due to too many problems with the Rome show (that's the reason why they cancelled the show in Modena). Universal will have the total control on this meet & greet, I simply will give them the list and on the same day they will tell me who's in and out; this is not absolutely easy, and I have requests on hold since the beginnings, when I started the fanzine (1988...yes, 16 years ago); I got people involved with the fanzine since that time, that regularly keep in touch, people who showed to be very very close to this activity, fans that had never had any chance to meet the man...this is THEIR chance; of course I have hundreds of requests and it won't be easy; I'll give Universal the chance to decide, I'll give them the list. FOR ME it's absolutely amazing to have this priviledge and I'll be as happy as those lucky fans; this will prove I could do something good for someone else.....SPREAD A LITTLE HAPPINESS was the message .... and I patiently followed the rule! ...or maybe I should say ... sting on newspapers

Hi I just take a look to the Barcelona newspapers today and all the articles descrived the show with a good words. "La Vanguardia" has two large pages with a detalled description of the show ( song by song) and nice pictures, he also include a biography of the artist and a colour pic of the front cover.He compared the show with "Bring on The Night" live album, specially with the band performance- "El Periodico" has also a front cover pic and a large review of the show and they told that the man of Newcastle conected with good armony with Barcelona people who answered Sting everytime who was in Barcelona with a good feel. "El Pais" just make a short review with picture too, and they told that the show was great with a serius style and with a nice band. "Avui" explain a few interesting momnents of the show and that the crow was very happy with the old songs like English Man,Roxanne,Breath,and Fields Of Gold. He also apeared on the Catalonian TV3 with report of FORUM 2004 with a short interview made yesterday after the soundcheck that will be used for the FORUM 2004 program.The news atlk about the show and they cnsider that Sting was great, with a nice band, with a good conection with Barcelona people and that the crow conected with him during the concert. best toni
