I saw Bowie last week here in Austin. He was awesome, and yes, he does switch the songs up and played a pretty full show. His curfew was 10:30, I guess he begged for more time and ended at 11-11:15 (don't remember by then). He's not as nice as Sting though when it comes to allowing photos... I got my camera deleted and batteries confiscated : ( I would LOVE those instant live CD's! STING - 'SACRED LOVE' TOUR Zonder tegenbericht gaat het concert van Sting woensdagavond zoals gepland door. Houd de website www.sportpaleis.be verder in de gaten... Het concert van Sting deze avond in Ahoy' Rotterdam werd, net als eerdere concerten in Stockholm, Kopenhagen en Oslo, afgelast omdat de zanger last heeft van een keelontsteking. De productieplanning is op dit ogenblik van die aard dat podium, licht en geluid zullen worden opgebouwd en worden klaargemaakt voor het concert. Een volgend bericht verwachten wij niet voor vanavond laat of morgenvroeg. Frontman van wijlen The Police, succesvol solo-artiest en ook wel wereldverbeteraar. Zijn jongste album "Sacred Love" schreef hij na de gebeurtenissen van 11 september en werd opgenomen toen de Verenigde Staten Irak bestormden. I saw on David Bowie's web page, he performed 31 songs the other night. Also saw he changes the set list. I saw on the Allman Brothers Band web site that Clear Channel and the Allmans are releaseing 6 live shows from their tour last summer as part of the instnant live series. You can order them from the web site. Would Sting do any of this? NOPE. When Sting comes back to the US this summer, we will hear the same set list from his theater tour minus a song or two, but maybe he will re-introduce 7 days. Peace. DC

Interesting! Thanks for the post! Oddly enough, it seems the bands that are influenced by the Police seem to be my favorites (No Doubt and Incubus to name a couple) didn't know Incubus was among them. What other bands that you guys know of are influenced by the Police, now I'm curious. Am I in a rut? Found that the May issue of "Record Collector" magazine (UK) has a page-long interview with Andy. The last few questions seemed the most interesting, so here's a snippet: =================================================== (Q) Are you ever tempted to return to rock full-time? (A) Stewart and I are going to be playing together in a few months, which will be rock. We're going to be playing in Vietnam, in Hanoi, at the World Music Peace Festival. We're going to play about 10 Police songs using three different singers - high-profile people. (Q) A lot of new bands are inspired by the Police. (A) Incubus, who are huge in the States right now, are just total Police freaks. I love their records. And they're very keen to do something we me and Stewart. I think Stewart and I are going to do something this year. (Q) How's the relationship with Sting? (A) There's no real animosity - life's too short. He called me just after I got on a plane to come here, he was doing some show in LA. Stewart's brother Ian, who used to be our agent, has a bar there called Backstage, dripping with Police memorabilia, and Sting wanted Stewart and I to meet him there. (Q) Will there ever be a proper reunion? (A) I'm not sitting around waiting for the telephone call! We seem to be the only band left who hasn't done a reunion tour. Of course it would be great, but it's entirely up to Sting.
