If you'd like to see this, DON'T buy the DVD set. Each week there was a slot for a band ,, one week I am sure Stewart Copeland was in an all star band (ft Jools Holland too I think) Is this right? I think the band were called the Ken Baker 12 or the All Stars ... Who else made up the band? Was Sting and Andy in it too? Did they ever gig? Any news out there on a Police live DVD with loads of extras??? Hmmm, I was sitting next to a cold fish who sat there yawning all night until he got to Fields of Gold. Then she primly clapped and song way off key. Guess I preferred the sitting there like a cold fish! It was quite obvious she really didn't want to be there besides for FOG and Fragile. I loved hearing Synchronicity II after all these years, finally the crowd got up and started dancing during that. Everyone was reserved way too long for my liking! Great show though. Hi, If anyone cares I am going to offer my $.02 on last night's show here in San Antonio. The show was in the Majestic theater. One of those old, tiered music halls that holds about 3000. Before I go furthur, I have to compliment Sting for playing there. He probablly could have done well in the 13000 seat SBC center where the spurs play, but he chose the smaller, more intimate theater. Chris Botti was good. Started on time. Played for approx half an hour. He was introduced by the corn-rowed Kipper who I did not immeadiately recognize. He played maybe two or three songs with Sting. Sting came on at 8:50. He played safe, comfortable, up-tempo songs. The concert was certainly poppier than any of the previous tours I have seen. His new drummer is quite good, and drove the pace of the show. For some of you this will be enough - he played the remix version of send your love! Yikes. I thought Sting sounded very good, but the show was predictable, and perhaps uninspired. I am one of the fans who always appreciated the interludes in the songs that allowed the musicians to cut loose a little and interpret the music. There is little improv. Everyone looks like they are on a tight leash. There are few unfamililar songs. When I heard the inside DVD I was awestruck - especially by walking on the moon, roxanne, stolen car/all would envy, forget about the future/that sinking feeling. You won't hear anything like that this show. Probablly so the guy sitting next to me wouldn't have to "suffer through" Stolen Car/All Would Envy for 10 minutes thinking, "When will he play fields of gold". He did play Stolen Car, but it was almost awkward to listen to after the DVD. Poor Jason Robello got to really play during Never Coming Home, otherwise he came all the way from England to play chords all night long. Cool and unanticipated additions to the set: Hole In My Life, Synchronicity II, 1000 years. Sadly omitted: All would envy, anything from Dream of the Blue Turtles Funny moment: Dominic Miller obviously could hardly wait to get a smoke during Jason Robello's solo on Never Coming Home. I think he broke some San Antonio fire codes. Sad moment: See previous comment on Jason Robello being handcuffed all night. Kenny Kirkland would have never done this set. So, in closing. Very up-tempo. Hit laden. Little for those of us who got hooked in the mid -80's to hang on to but the experience itself and nostalgia. It was good to see him again and I am sad it is over. "A day in Santiago" - correct date?

Does anyone have the correct date for the bootleg called "A day in Santiago"? The cover says June 30, 1993, but this is supposedly not correct. Some say it is from July 30 that year, and a trader (can't remember who) has told me that it is actually from March 27 1994! Who can solve the mystery?
