By Jonathan Cohen NEW YORK (Billboard) - Sting will unveil the material from his new A&M album, "Sacred Love," during a Sept. 22 concert at Paris' L'Olympia club. (Embedded image moved to file: pic12557.jpg)euters Photo The show will be open only to members of Sting's fan club, although the general public can register for tickets and membership for a limited time. "Sacred Love" arrives Sept. 23 internationally and Sept. 30 in North America. Additional details have come to light about the set's companion DVD, to be released Oct. 6 internationally and a day later in North America. "Inside the Songs of Sacred Love" was taped in mid-May at Los Angeles' Mayan Theater in front of invited guests and contest winners. As she does on "Sacred Love," Mary J. Blige (news) joined Sting for the duet "Whenever I Say Your Name." Material filmed at the Mayan will also be shown on the special "Sting: Sacred Love," airing in October on A&E. This is cool...my husband and I spent our 18th anniversary in Vegas, decided to walk through Mandalay Bay's casino, when over the speakers came Sting's SYL! I quickly sidled to the nearest slot machine and threw twenty dollars into trying to win a silver BMW. I would like to say there is a happy ending to this story, but unfortunately I am still driving my '85 Volvo station wagon. I did get a good hour of playing from the twenty bucks, though! AOL TV commercial

There's a new AOL commercial with Carson Daly trying to get into a club, only to be turned away by the bouncer. If you listen closely, you can hear "Send Your Love" coming out of the club. (But yet, at the end of the commercial, the little AOL logo/yellow man gets in. So you know he would've gotten into Studio 54, and done some lines with Mick and Liza. Maybe that's why AOL Broadband is so fast... I need rest.) Ken -

For those of you with access to America Online, check out Sting's performance of "Send Your Love" in the Sessions area. It's a sort of MTV Unplugged vibe, an accoustic version complete with piano. which goes to prove to me once again that Sting is a money making grubbler. His few interests is in making money.. Hi, Someone asked about the fanclub. I mailed them about it last night, since I'd renewed my membership not long ago, and from what Tina says, it looks like the £10 I paid then is okay if I just want to continue with the offline (I guess the mag will continue to be sent out then), or if I decide to, I can use the £20 discount on joining this new club. [Police] For Sale: Japanese release of Sacred Love with it's extra bonus tracks

Hi Folks, The Japanese release of Sacred Love will be released on September 10th 2003. I am going to Tokyo on the 9th, returning on the 11th, so I can pick them up while I am there, and will ship the cd to your door by whatever postal option that you choose. Your choices will be global priority, standard priority or first class mail. I will explain postage options below, Amazon is charging $36 dollars + postage for this release, + they usually take weeks to deliver on the import releases, I am offering the set for $30 + postage and, the item will be at your door by the 14th wherever in the world you are, and probably on the 13th if you are within the US. This is the official release, this is not a pirate, this is not a cdr copy, and this is not a scam. I have been on this mailing list for years, and many of you know who I am already. The Japanese release has 14 tracks, the US version has 11 tracks, the most notable omission is "Like a Beautiful smile" a proper album track, not a remix. The Japanese release comes out on the 10th of September, the US release comes out on the 30th September. I will take cash orders, money orders, paypal, and checks, although checks will only be accepted from those of you I already know. If there is another release you wish for me to pick up for you in Tokyo, let me know and I will see if I can find it at the same time.
