Hi! I just booked a flight for next Monday to Newcastle, got to go to check the place up. Somebody wrote few weeks ago about similar trip, so if someone has information about the "must-sees" down there, please write to me! And if someone knows any happenings in Brits next week, I'd be happy to know, gonna stay for the whole week and I still don't know what I'll do and where I'll go after Newcastle. Brooks "Bee" Lundy from Police tribute band STUNG had the amazing fortune to jam with a hero, Police drummer STEWART COPELAND, at Stewart's birthday party at the Backstage Cafe in Beverly Hills on Wednesday, July 16th. Hosted by brother Ian Copeland and attended by family members including brother/manager Miles Copeland, Stewart jumped behind the kit and played amazing versions of Police classics "Driven To Tears" and "Roxanne"! Glad to hear that Stolen Car will be included on the album. Back in December, Chris Botti told Andrea and me about this song and was raving about it -- it's about a car thief who fantasizes about the cars' owners' lives. Every car tells a different story about its owners. An odd premise, but Chris said it was really clever and very "Sting." It's funny 'cause we told Chris it sounded like that would be a B-side, and until recently it was supposed to be . I guess Like A Beautiful Smile will be the B-side... However, to me it does seem unfair criticism (there is a line to be crossed) when someone just says a song is "bad" or especially "it sucks". Myself, I prefer a more articulate response--whatever the opinion. I've found that generally those on the positive side tend to be a little more explanatory, than those on the negative. All I ask is that someone just say that they don't like it and here is why--and leave out those potentially offending bursts. It's just good netiquette, and makes less people feel defensive. Then, no one will feel the need to respond with those words "I'm entitled to my opinion too".
