I have to agree with Dave -- Until is a beautiful song. It feels like a standard and has the potential to become one. I think Sting fans haven't given Until the response it deserves. Had it been written during a lull in Sting's career (i.e. between two distant albums), I think everyone would have appreciated it more, but after two years of touring, a new live album, a mini tour, and countless TV appearances, this new song was overshadowed by Sting over-saturation. The Silverlake performance really highlights the beauty of this song though... I know what you mean (and it's never too late). ;) A friend sent me the K&L soundtrack. I listened to it--but that was a week ago. Well, today I've been humming it continuously. It's making me feel better (very bad week). That's Sting...my old stand-by. When my life is changing too much\ and too quickly, he's there when I need him. I completely agree Fred....Unitl is not nearly as uncomplicated as it may sound. I really love Until...I love the waltz timing and love the way his voice caresses each note. Hi Blue, According to the liner notes, Mike Howlett (now a record producer) was actually the one to "discover" Sting's amazing vocal talents and had asked him to sing on some demos he was recording. He then got a group together for the demos. Apparently this CD is a result of a live show in Paris on the May date you saw on the back. Mike tried hawking this group with no takers, Stew went on to form the Police and the rest is History. I consider this one of the gems in my collection. The Every Little Thing recording is not "Strontium 90" but PURE Sting. Nothing better! Hope you can still get a copy.
