yes, i just saw them recently too. i can't recall whether or not any of the songs off of P-Brane were played, but that's the general style of it all:
Was the concert full at all? the one in hollywood wasn't too full but it wasn't a bad showing either. i was shocked at how little i recognized (i have trainer, not for threes, restproof clockwork, double figure, and peel sessions.. but i admit i haven't listened to trainer or peel sessions enough to recognize much from them). i liked the sound of some of the new stuff but a couple i found a bit too repetitive. i was a bit shocked to hear mostly experimental stuff though only because i felt the direction they've been headed has been more mainstream (save for a couple of songs on double figure). i am really looking forward to p-brane though because i want to hear their take on the experimental side. i can't get too into new autechre but the plaid concert seemed like stuff i could groove to.
have you listened to Brothomstates before? similar to plaid, but a little harder and more experimental. he's also on warp records.
never heard of brothomstates might check him out if i have extra cash. any good place to download mp3s these days? Shaun
