Maybe they're releasing crap because they know that a lot of you will buy crap just because it has the name "Orb" associated with it and therefore they can sell this crap to you and pay their house note/studio fees/cocaine dealer/etc. I'm giving up on the revolutionary artists from the 80's and 90's. They're all pumping out utter shit that seems an insult to fans or people with taste. I kind of think marketing these "back 2 mine" type albums at full price is sort of like selling Elvis's sweat in little bottles. It's bullshit.

Man, to each their own but occasionally (just like the "winner" needs to be bashed in the head with a copy of Atlas Shrugged) I make facetious observations like "you should be bashed in the head with a heavyweight vinyl copy of Bikes and Trikes. JEEZ, lay off already! OK, BtoM might be a bit of a waste of time, but IIRC that's not even Orb stuff, just someone saying "hey, put some stuff you like personally on here as kind of a lark".... T (Who still says 2&3 is damn well worth it and still better than what most NON-80s/90s-REVOLUTIONARY ARTISTS or even some that SHOULD give it up can come up with. I mean shit, Chemical Bros and Prodigy have new stuff? And Depeche Mode ("I've been DJing quite a bit so I like bigger beats now" - ML Gore "Oh yeah, you kicked me out of the band for that shit" - Alan Wilder (not a real quote)) thinks they can release a techno album? Are you fucking serious?)

Tim you are a jackass. I've paid for every fucking Orb and KLF release from the start, including all the damn lil System 7 records, side projects, badorbs, and equisite LX solo records... not to mention countless UF.OFFt-shirts as gifts for friends. Its time I put my foot down. I think the final straw(s) for me was a copy of B&T I never use and some junky silver Battersea Shield, purchased at the record store. If you think I'm a thief for using soulseek, fine.. but I think you're an idiot for paying so much for a few plastic knicknacks that you still haven't gotten your grubby lil hands on yet. I'd rather listen to the record now and decide if I wanna buy it, instead of rushing in, willie nilly. I know the packaging is probably has some collectability to it, but I'm not gonna cry over this release being sub-par.. because I spent nothing. Hell, I even sent my 'stolen' copy out to a bunch of other 'loser' listees who take great pride in witholding earnings from their favorite group. On 10/18/05, Tim C <timc_orb@charter.net> wrote:

It saddens me more than you can know that you/they take pride in this. Stealing art is nothing to be proud of.
