Future Sound of London: "The Isness"

What do people think of this? I personally was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED by this release, and thought it to be VERY WEAK in comparison to their previous works... I mean a lot of it sounds like jam band gueetar CRAP!!! :-( What gives?!!?!? This is not the FSOL we know and love :-( Other opinions? Over and out.... ... .. . . _jason_ <redeye_jedi@mac.com> ( ( (( Psychotropic )) ) ) <(*)> ( ( (( acting on the mind )) ) )
I personally couldn't believe it when I heard it. I really don't want to say 'gay' so I'm not, but this is NOT the FSOL I know and love. I've been waiting for quite some time for this to come out (earlier singles and samples were released under the mello hippo disco show) and didn't think it would end up being quite this bad. anyone hear ANYTHING at all from badorb -- I can't even get an email repsonse...? --- Beats From Beyond <beatsfrombeyond@mac.com> wrote:

What was the original "amorphous androgynous" release like? http://www.epinions.com/musc_mu-78141 I've seen it in shops years ago, but not recently. Was it like the isness, or like "regular fsol" (ha! that's an oxymoron!) On Mon, Oct 14, 2002 at 03:27:48PM -0700, Greg Roberts wrote:

What was the original "amorphous androgynous" release like?
i like it. i have both the album and a 12", and both are kinda like _Lifeforms_ in a vague sort of way... if you like LF, then the AA releases ought to appeal to you... There is no such FSOL that i know and love, personally. I'm still not sure why i bought "Lifeforms" except that i might have expected to grow to like it down the track. I did like the bits of the Isness that i heard though, little extracts that they were. Pretty cute, i thought. :) Kwook www.kwookyworld.com The kwinkunx is 'ere!
