RE: [Orb] UF Orb 2xCD Deluxe - 17th September
Is this another "remaster" like that comical ABTU "special" edition that came out a while ago? I have a 2CD edition of UFOrb (familiar, I'm sure, to many of you) that includes the 40-minute version of "Blue Room" on the second disc. As curious as I am about the alternate mixes of "Close Encounters" and "Majestic," it's a shame that this omits the 40-minute "Blue Room." Maybe it should've been a 3xCD Special Deluxe Edition With Big Brass Knobs On. /nitpick JG -----Original Message----- From: On Behalf Of Nick King Sent: Wednesday, August 08, 2007 2:32 PM To: What were the skies like when you were young? I hope this is a remaster otherwise whats the point. I will ask my man in the know! Steve
As discussed, lots of folks found the ABTU remaster to be lacking compared to the original...but the bonus tracks on this sound worthy... T

Thanks Tim. OK, fine. Maybe I am wrong. But I thought the Ultraworld remaster sounded much better than the original--or at least better than the version I got on cd. Maybe the UF Orb 2xcd Deluxe is the same. Personally I find my copy (again, cd) of UF Orb to be quite faint and muddled compared to the sound of Orbvs and Orblivion. So for UF Orb: I'll buy it. I'll buy it. I'll buy it. (Is anybody from "Orb Marketing" on this list?) not here, but there is someone who has a small claim to the sleeve art of the re-release.
