you'd be suprised what one can do with acid and a little imagination. of course some people have no imagination who use acid so your point is well taken. but if these people also were mixing in 5:1 they would still suck. i wouldn't write off everyone just cause they don't mix in 5:1. tweez Alan <alanevil@bellsouth.net> wrote: I would think that anyone worth a shit in the electronic world would be mixing in 5.1. lovely. thanks for asking. fyi: you've got some php code failing on your blip website. and some dead links as well. thats not good for bizness. and just so this isnt completely off topic does anyone else have any impressions about Gee Strings? i thought they couldn't do worse than some of those singing tracks on cydonia, but the repetitive and boring house of Gee Strings may top it. the kompassion single might just be the worse orb single ever. esp considering the only really interesting track (cool harbour) was released on another (and better) ep. tweez --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!? You mean this one? "THE GRUESOME TWOSOME "Candy from Strangers" cram 076 CD Corrupt TV evangelists, serial killers, cracked actors, reformed drug cases, gamblers and assorted psychopaths... this fine cast of characters are portrayed with ferocious humour in this project by Solomon Pearbrook (aka DJ Morpheus) and Bertrand Burgalat (Laibach, Hugo, Valérie Lemercier, Tricatel Records etc), and featuring collaborations with Fortran 5, Paul Kendall, Thrash (The Orb) etc. The music was created under the undeniable, assorted influences of trash & horror movie soundtracks, film noir, 60's psychedelia, Anglo-Belgian Hard Beat & other dubious sources and illegal devices. The album's 15 tracks include "Hallucination Generation", which had achieved cult dance hit status in the USA." Sounds fun, I'll have to check it out! ;-)

When I first bought Orblivion, I thought Toxygene was pretty terrible, but being a fan of the Orbvs Terrarum, FFWD, Pomme Fritz albums, I think Little Fluffy Clouds is still the most girly and wussy of all the Orb tunes...In fact, I don't really care for ABTU at all. I love live versions of some of those songs, but I've never been able to listen to it the whole way through. And even though toxygene might be "accessible," Orblivion has some tracks with balls on it. Rave on. Gel-Sol
Acid4 is real nice, ive been using Logic for so long it has become stale... (esp on the mac) the interface is dated and time consuming. whilst this little beauty is destined for the "do you remember when" catagory. acid an a couple of other prog, fruity loops included are getting better in design and output. Besides which using different stuff helps to keep things from getting samey IMHO anyway bit of news included... Looks like Sonic Foundry is selling ACID off to Sony according to this press release... http://www.sonicfoundry.com/news/ShowRelease.asp?ReleaseID=536&CatID= ttfn bill Live like you dont know death, Love like you've never been hurt, Dance like no one's watching!! --==themode2k==--
