Enjoyed the fuck out of Luke Vibert and Plaid this weekend in Minneapolis. I got there late to really see Chris Clark but got a Tog and he sorta drew on the skull face-fucking logo thing for me. I was really pissed and was hitting on his comely assistance Portlannah who actually was very fucking cool to me. If you look on the back of his CD you'll see her name (turn out the lights, Why? Romance). We talked about wether or not Mira Calix was pretty, or bitchy or single (cuz I want to marry in to the Warp clan and I dunno if Weatheral accepted my marriage proposal yet.... so plan ahead). Turns out yes to all but the last... she's dating an Autechre bloke/ this caused me to exault loudly: WHERE ARE ALL THE IDM WHOOOORES?!! I picked up Plaid Spokes Fri and like it.. . Whoever said you need to listen a couple times.... was right... it gets better. Portlannah talked me into buying Trainer and assured me I might be able to snag an autograph. I hung out by the magic bus and sorta harrassed Vibert telling him some drunken made-up story about how my mom found a Wagonchrist CD and kicked out me outta the house. I seem to potray the obnoxious-American role well cuz he looked slightly ammused and largely irritated. I was told Plaid went to ge the pizza (think about that phrase?) so I scoured the nearby haunts for some skinny-englishmen w/frail arms and turtlknecks. I thought I was SOL when suddenly I spotted 3-4 guys w/pizza boxes. I yelled ANDY!! and he turned in shock. I told him and Ed that there band was horse-cocks and they looked hurt, then i said sorry just kidding i need an autogrph. Ed was quiet and meek, Andy was super tolerant of my drunk ass (LX once yelled at me remember, for being drunk & loud) I told him I was a huge Orbster and they turned me on to warp and such. He said "Yeah, I know Kris Weston" and I was almost beside myself w/grief for the man. "Yeah, I know of him too... I wrote some dirty limmericks for him." "Yeah," Andy asked, "Did he like em?" I knew then the partying had robbed my brain of much needed oxygen and couldnt speak.
