Yah you can add my name to that list... I can set up an FTP site at home if someone wants to upload em. But basically I would give my left nut for these cds. ;) -------------------------------------------- Letter to the editor, New York Times, published 4/19/03: "Cable's War Coverage Suggests a New 'Fox Effect' on Television Journalism" (news article, April 16) illustrates a paradox in American society. Constitutional protection of free speech is a necessary but insufficient condition for its exercise in daily life. Rights can become paper rights: constitutionally protected but seldom exercised by a people fearful of speaking one's mind. If dissenting opinions are publicly vilified by the news media, the conditions that make free speech and dissent possible will wither. People will not speak out against war or other unpopular policies, irrespective of their constitutional right, for fear that they will be demonized or punished financially or socially. In modern societies, it is unnecessary to resort to crude methods like imprisonment or torture to silence dissenters. It is sufficient simply to question their integrity, their values and their patriotism. _________________________________________________________________ Tired of spam? I would prefer a snail mail list on the same lines of a distro, where hopefull ppl can add disks to the list as they feel (last person on the distro sends the first the correct amount of cdr blanks) or is all this getting too much? Heard on the radio today (again) that pink floyds dark side of the moon is having some sort of aniversary (14 years in usa charts?) and that the dub side of the moon album has been released to mark the event. anyone out there still have the Orb / pink floyd remixes? ttfn bill At least this "war on terrorism" will be just as quick and successful as the "war on drugs" so we'll know... that... oh, wait. --==themode2k==--

Those remix CDs have nothing to do with the Orb. Chris
can you say who they were by, do you have any details? relly interested but not sure why? bill At least this "war on terrorism" will be just as quick and successful as the "war on drugs" so we'll know... that... oh, wait. --==themode2k==--

We've been through this several times over the past couple of years. Suffice it to say, we know from multiple sources that the Orb had nothing to do with the bootleg Pink Floyd mixes. The details are in the archives, if you really want them. Chris (not trying to be snarky, but tired of having to go through this at least once a year)

It looks like Moondog's FTP has all of these, is there somewhere else I could up them to take the load off of one server? In my opinion, this would be much better than snail mail being that they're going to end up in data format anyway. A public server (with an orb/orb account) would be cheaper than sending blank cdrs plus it would give everyone an opportunity to grab them or contribute. -----Original Message----- From: orb-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:orb-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of raddished Sent: Wednesday, April 23, 2003 1:45 AM To: What were the skies like when you were young? unless of course, you live on iceland and have to pay $30 per gig you download :P in which case snailmail is a lot cheaper, no matter what :P --- Agust "nemesis1" - aaj@centrum.is - ICQ: 1290264 - http://nem1.cjb.net free your :) [tm]
