Sample Spotted - Little Orb Content
Hey, I was listening to the college jazz station this morning and heard a song that Funki Porcini sampled. I don't remember the name of the Funki Porcini song but it was on Let's See What Carmen Can Do (I think it was the one that has the "my stomach feels good already" bit). Anywho, the name of the song is "Stolen Moments" by Oliver Nelson on The Blues and the Abstract Truth album. FP sampled some of the flute by Eric Dolphy. That made my day! Also, I bought another Plaid CD over the past weekend, Double Figure, on a CD shopping spree (along with a Melodian's CD, the Trojan Ska Box and the Harder They Come DVD). I like most of it. Some of the songs are a little too "space opera" for me but it's an alright CD, I guess. I like Rest Proof Clockwork better. I also talked the cashier into giving me the 12" orb promo that they were giving out for purchasing B&T. Best mix of "From a Distance" I've heard yet - but that's not saying much. Still don't care for "Aftermath" all that much. -matt _________________________________________________________________ Express yourself instantly with MSN Messenger!
