Sometimes you just want to tell an artist that they're wrong, even in regard to their own work. Like when Cecile Schott informs us that the pastoral sound of her debut album, Everyone Alive Wants Answers (Leaf), was mainly informed by thoughts of travel, when here we assumed that her pristine digital whittling of organic sounds came from a imaginary garden behind her Parisian home. Domesticated or ambulatory, will she at least admit that our waltzing Tim Burton comparison is somewhat on base?

Why then, if her studio remains confined to her laptop, the accumulation of baroque instruments such as glockenspiels and music boxes?
