hi all, After being talked into it, I went to see Royksopp at the Metro in Chicago last night, and I'm glad I went. I highly reccomend seeing them if you have the opportunity to do so. They were very energetic, dancey and put on a good live show. For a few songs they had a 3rd guy come out and play bass, while the other 2 did the technology stuff. The set lasted close to 90 minutes with 2 encores... BUT the reason I mention this here is there IS an Orb connection; the man operating their light show is Dave, the same guy from the Orb's 2001 shows. He didn't recognise me at first without the dreadlocks, but after identifying myself, we ended up talking for a little bit, and told me that the Orb are hoping to come back stateside and tour, mostlikely in the fall. He said that this time they want to hit all the places they couldn't last time, so you Texas listees migh be in luck this time. Unfortunately the show ran long, and it was a work night, so I couldn't stay around for a "pint" at the Smartbar...
