It was the early days of '97 and AMP was broadcast on mtv in the wee hours of the morning. I thought that Orson Karte, Metamorphosis (R&S) and Howie B, Going Away (Island) were the bomb tracks (freshman lingo). Soon enough, Feb, I was blown away by ORB'sToxygene and had to have more. I spent that whole year, and my earnings, listening to ORB music and watching mtv Europe live videos (orbus terrarum). I've been hooked since and remember subscribing to the orbulletins. BTW I still wonder if Orson Karte's Metamorphosis was as good as I remember: being my first taste of electro-tunes and all. I reckon it was probably just some sort of trancey shite. peace, jason
