Some time ago someone on here told me that Orb was blues music which completely blew my mind. Since then I have begun to believe this to be true. I even heard that our PBS History of the Blue or whatever it is FFWD'd thru the 90's with a clip of Metallica selling out arena's and then a shot of LX spinning in his rocket chair. (if anyone saw this please elaborate) This is so crazy that whoever made that documentary would find Orb significant. I am arrogant about my music likes but not foolishly optimistic. Like it or not YOU ARE ALL FOLK MUSIC FANS. I don't own a single Bob Dylan or Grateful Dead album (burned or otherwise) but I do respect and sometimes enjoy there music (ref. Big Lebowski). Folk music is that wich tells an evolving story, creates new stories as its intrinsic mythology gets passed on by word of mouth, and finally becomes larger than life and bigger than its original conception. We should be proud that someone would start a rumor on Napster that Orb did these Dark Side of the Moon and such remixs. This means the Orb has sufficient mythology surrounding it for someone to affix a feasable moniker such as this to it so easily. Of course die-hard orb fans can recognize immediately the obvious falsehood of the claim (w/or w/out listening to them). The blues part I'm still putting together. Blues usually means music written simply out of the necessity to releave emotional pressure from a particularly painfull event such as a cheatin woman or the plummeting death of your son cuz the maid left the window screen in your flat loose. Orb seems to be writing about escapism, gettin high w/friends, realizing the full potential of your mind, and in Cydonia's case: homosexual interaction between 3 or more men simultaneously. My research is not completed in this sense........ further forever...... ES:3%5RIP _________________________________________________________________ Help protect your PC.
