It is pronounced the same way as the American "whine". That said, I *always* mentally pronounce it as rhyming with "hinge". Then there is the Underworld track "winjer". ;) Chris np: Tursday Teatime 6/26/03

Actually, upon checking, I may well be wrong...I've been told in the past that it can/should be pronounced "whine", but support for that pronunciation seems to be a bit thin on the net.
