I liked all the songs on the first Alltogther CD except for that one with the awful awful singing. Second one was a mixed bag but was nice to get some rare stuff I only had on lowish quality MP3s.
I didn't like their previous album, Middle of Nowhere, very much at all. Only a couple songs on it I could groove to at all. Not much groove + not many long involved epicy songs = why bother with Orbital.
That's funny, I had the exact opposite take on recent Orbital. For me the bonus disc was the only reason to bother with The Altogether, which I thought blew homeless monkeys. The production sounds completely dated, like they somehow "unlearned" how to make relevent music, but at least we can all agree that the David Gray track is complete shite. I thought Middle of Nowhere was pretty good and gives In Sides a run for its money as the second best Orbital album. But hey you know what they say about opinions. . .
