Mark you are right, I did go to far on this one. No offense to you either, but don't you have an issue to put out? Eyes and Ears, Eyes and Ears. Also, why are there so many marks on this list? tatty _________________________________________________________________ Has one of the new viruses infected your computer? Hey, an honest man like yourself can get carried away with frustration. I hate to sound like the preacher, especially since I didn't learn the benefit of keeping a cool head until after I had done similar things. Yeah, I got stories to write. Reading the list and sending a message to this list is a nice mental coffee break for me during the day. I think the name "mark" was very popular in the mid to late 70s and throughout the 80s. There are a lot of marks in the 15-25 age crowd, myself being at the end of that range. I think Sarah, Emily, Rebecca, and Melissa were all excessively popular in that time range now. Today I hear the most popular names are Jacob, and Caitlin. Or Kaytlin. Or Katelin. Or Kaytlyn. Or Kaitlyn. Or Caytlin. Or quatlion. Bleh. I don't know what's worse; naming your child the same as everyone else, or changing the spelling around in an effort to be 'unique,' when picking a wholly different name would work much better. I think I want to name my son Atticus, if I ever have one. Lockland is a good one. Female names are much tougher for me, however. I end up thinking of girls I used to date and/or have major crushes on rather than a unique name. And then I think -- why the hell am I contemplating baby names?? ---- Mark Schieldrop The Narragansett Times mark@schieldrop.net

Brian was also a common name. My mom was going to name me Kevin. There were 6 Brians in my graduating class of 22 Chem majors at the UW. SIX of them. Ugh. Anyway, I think you've been trying to pronounce "Narragansett" for too long :D Cheers! -Brian
