"Bless You" on the list?!? Mostly it was liked as best I can remember except that one annoying song which a lot of people hated with a vehemence usually reserved for shit encrusted, hungry rats. I would get up and look but I don't want to and I can't remember because I'm really really high.
Has anyone heard "Bicycles and Tricycles?" Opinions on that? It seems as though the Jap version was half liked and half despised. The liking was fairly tepid for the most part or grudging (I like a lot of it, but grudgingly, for instance). The despising was with great disgust also. Many promises have been made that the British version is much better. BTW, when is the British version coming out? I'm so high all the time I can't hold that kind of information in my head for very long... it's also an adverse reaction to working in record stores and music mags for over ten years but I digress.
[aside to one of my other personalities]: what? dude, shut up! some of these people smoke.
I've only placed one other order from them for a few Blood and Fire CDs I sold the first ten releases from Blood and Fire, including the limited Congos on eBay. It was supposed to be the official end to my record hording along with some other sales but I find it hard to put anything up for sale unless I'm really broke. Sad. I kind of miss those cds but I haven't listened to anything but the King Tubby since I sold them (well of course I ripped myself good copies). Sorry, that's pretty OT but did I mention how high I am?
Did anyone here order any 12"s from the badorb site? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!! From the time I joined until BadOrb vomitted it's last drops of ichor and shook for a final time over half of the posts were, "Did you get your BOBx yet?!?" Right around the demise of BadOrb might be worth re-reading in the archives. A lot of people's feelings got hurt very badly by that (and a lot of people got screwed out of money as well, though not most by any means).
I was surprised to read on the site that people had a bad experiences with getting stuff they ordered as mine transaction was extremely smooth...got a cool sticker taboot I think the ones that got burned the worst were the ones with subscriptions. At least that's what I gathered.
And you guys didn't think I was paying any attention! ;) Of course, I beg to be corrected if I'm wrong or have misrepresented our recent history. I'm Alan Evil by the way. Nice to meet you. *snip* That abortion of a song was quite a laugh, once. I ripped the cd and promptly deleted that track from my playlist. How abhorrent. Alex must have been one fucked up man to put that song out... -- Brian
