Hi Dave, I've got a good quality digital broadcast recording of the Barrowlands gig on cd if you want to trade something. Hi folks, got BLESS YOU today, it´s not really the orb what´s happening there I think, but some stuff is quiet nice. Give me 500$ , and I would make something better than that multimediapart, perhaps that´s a bit "arrogant", but it´s a shame not to use that thing, especially as the music seems to be at a point, where it´s rotating around the same themes over and over again. Badorb seems to be the Orb´s DJ Label I think. Thanks a lot to Chris Johnson, did you get it? Cy, Christoph from Dortmund, Germany P.S. Check out the new CAN (great stuff): Irmin Schmidt & Kumo - Masters of confusion (www.spoonrecords.com) Burnt Friedmann & Jaki Liebezeit - Secret ryhthms -- 1Apreis - das Online-Paradies für Schnäppchenjäger! http://bonus.gmx.net/?gid=41442879&prid=348

I haven't checked the multimedia aspect of it yet, but I finally picked up Bless You this weekend and was hugely disappointed with the music... :-( Cool Harbor is a really great track (simple as it may be, it has a great goove), and I Am The Red Worm is fairly good, but the rest of the tracks on there just weren't doing it for me. They were strange, avante garde, trippy; just not a pleasant listening experience... I also haven't listened to CD2 yet, but was so let down by CD1 that my motivation is a bit low... Glad I picked it up on promo for $10 (half.com) Anyone else feel the same way? Over and out.... ... .. . . _jason_ beatsfrombeyond@mac.com ( ( (( Beats From Beyond )) ) ) | - - -- ((o)) -- - - - |
well, i think it's kinda spotty. for example, i enjoy tracks 2, 4, 7, and 9. these are good songs, not spectacular, but good. i really like track 10 -- this is a very good track -- quite outstanding. however, on the other end of the spectrum, i hate track 4 (which is annoying), track 6 (that f*cking obnoxious "Barbie Girl" song. ugh!), and track 12 (lame Dead Milkmen ripoff that SUCKS!). the rest of the tracks are just there.... so i dunno. i had hoped for better quality.... but i guess there still is some good stuff. i haven't absorbed all of disc one, so i have not even moved ont o disc 2 yet. anyway..... THere's 2 live fm broadcasts fom the march UK tour, both mentined as the Glasgow Barrowlands set, but after listening to them side by side, they're both different shows. the Radio 1 I have sounds fair at best, the Belgium broadcast sounds better.
