Greetings ORBys: I'm a first time responder but have been listening in for awhile, and the Orb has turned my crank since the age of thirteen, so I'm wondering: Does anyone have any definitive info, either in the U.S. or abroad, as to when the new, post-Cydonia Orb album will come out? What will it be called? Will they tour in the US anytime soon, either as BadOrb or as a solo act? I saw them in the Badorb tour last year in New York City and they were incredible, and I can't wait to see or hear from them again. As to the new-Orb/ old-Orb debate, yes I have to admit that Cydonia has its share of flaws, but I'm more than willing to bet that it had too much shelf time to be re-tooled. The Orb seems to function best out of impulse. I mean, Orblivion was TOP notch (now THAT was a show!), so you can't say for a minute that they're TOTALLY out of steam! Badorb stuff is great when it's great, but it's ALWAYS competent, and besides, the risks they take really take guts and produce some serious music. (Particularly Daleth of ELphame and that tune with the fiddle!) And for those who stopped liking the Orb way back when, after Orbvs or whatever - like what you like, but don't be so quick to criticize just because their agenda went somewhere yours hasn't! Thanks for the ear, Dan _________________________________________________________________ STOP MORE SPAM with the new MSN 8 and get 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/junkmail
