this might be old news as my computer has been on da fritz but groovetech is no more :( some kind of corporate deal where they were not making any money so the parent company shut them down. I sure will miss the streams but I have to be honest, I never bought anything from them so I can see why the plug was pulled. now what am I gonna do for teatime? _________________________________________________________________ Add photos to your messages with MSN 8. Damn, shit, bugger 8( <-- See I'm getting into to the spirit of this list now. Shame to see Groovetech go. Want I want to know is what's going to happen to all of them thar archives. I managed to get a few corkers downloaded but I hope the corporation won't just delete them all. Such a great selection of such varied music and just what is the definitive list of all LX's teatimes, who's got the most? In the meantime, alternatives for decent streams and archive collections on a postcard please? I've found these few in the past. Some a little lame but some good sets/stations dotted about; http://www.pinknoises.com/audio.shtml http://www.shoutcast.com/ http://www.dj-sets.com/ Billy np: Wife Swap on C4 - Best TV show around for ages.... I've got almost all of them except for the last few.... I think I stopped getting them at about the 26th of June (was the last one I grabbed methinks) where there anymore after that one...? -----Original Message----- From: orb-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:orb-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of eric marden Sent: Tuesday, October 07, 2003 1:19 PM To: 'What were the skies like when you were young?' 03/07/24 & 03/08/07 were also archived. I'm pretty sure I have all of the ones that were ever archived...but does anyone have any of the ones that never made it to the archives? Chris (I know I owe a few people emails; both my home and work email servers have been screwed for the past week; my home one is finally starting to work again; unfortunately, all the email I need to respond to is on the work server. Sorry. I'll respond as soon as I can.)
OK, here's the ones I have. If anyone would like any they are missing I can upload to an ftp, haven't quite got round to setting one up myself so far. Not too sure I would want to incurr the wrath of this list just for announcing one plus I'm a greedy fucker when it comes to my 512k bandwidth. I'm sure there was another after the 26-6-03 but could not get Streambox to grab it properly at the time. Anyone who has these and any other's I'm missing please mail me off list and let me know how I can get them. ICQ file Tx is easy for me if you don't have ftp. You have the months/days reversed on a few:
20010503 - Thursday Teatime with The Orb.rm 20010208 - Thursday Teatime with The Orb.rm 20010308 - Thursday Teatime with The Orb.rm
These were also archived: 010405 010628 010823 010906 011004 011101 020321 021003 021017 021114 021212 030724 030807 There was also another Electro Chair with LX: 010910 And one more GrooveTech Radio - San Francisco: 010731 There were also a number of Teatimes archived that LX didn't participate in (including the 010419 show you list above); they usually featured Sherman, among others. So, anyone manage to capture any that weren't archived? Chris
Ahh lemon jelly my ass I heard they were managed by the same public school boys as the orb
