hmmm, besides the Missy Elliott and Boards of Canada new releases on ("new" in quotes for the BOC since Twoism is actually a re-issue) that I bought on LP last week, I got the Flaming Lips re-issue of the Zaireeka four disc set the other day. Now I just have to get four stereos together in one place so I can listen to it properly! Best release I¹ve heard this year is by far the new downtempo compilation from 3D Vision Records (France): Module 01 http://www.saikosounds.com/english/display_release.asp?id=2874 Some REALLY nice stuff on here. Highly recommended. Over and out.... ... .. . . _jason_ beatsfrombeyond@mac.com ( ( (( Beats From Beyond )) ) ) | - - -- ((o)) -- - - - |
Have to say the new Bent LP [The everlasting blink] is pretty fuckin good. Nice attention to detail on the promo kit too.
You managed to get it? I've just been listening to the 'Go Kommando' EP today, and it's got some damn nice tunes on it. l8rs, Nick ;-) -----Original Message----- From: orb-admin@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:orb-admin@mailman.xmission.com]On Behalf Of skinner_matt@hotmail.com Have to say the new Bent LP [The everlasting blink] is pretty fuckin good. Yeah, it's nice. First listen it didn't particularly stand out but after a couple of listens it's really good. Is it my imagination, or is that Jon Marsh [Ex Beloved] crooning away on "Beautiful otherness"?? David Essex is on another track as well, and another has familiar some country sounding woman on it too. Plenty of good music around at the moment. A lot of it from Northern Europe, must be something in the snow.
Yup, definitely Jon Marsh on "Beautiful Otherness"- check out www.bent-world.com And David Essex on "Stay The Same". There's also quite a few Faithless connections - Zoe Johnston guested on 'Swollen' and one of Bent's tracks was featured on Faithless' "Back To Mine" album. Sounds good - must try and get hold of the promo. l8rs, Nick ;-) -----Original Message----- From: orb-admin@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:orb-admin@mailman.xmission.com]On Behalf Of skinner_matt@hotmail.com

Sorry list, for the Nick/Matt/Bent love-in ;-) Try Vinyl Exchange. They had a few copies of the CD promo kit with patient's note type thing but if you look now they have a promo CD [which I guess is just the CD] for only 15 squid. They also got the new Massive Attack LP on promo too.
Cheers Matt - just ordered them! BTW, you going to see System 7 in Brighton? l8rs, Nick ;-) -----Original Message----- From: orb-admin@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:orb-admin@mailman.xmission.com]On Behalf Of skinner_matt@hotmail.com Sorry list, for the Nick/Matt/Bent love-in ;-) Try Vinyl Exchange.
