Yes, as far as anyone knows they're nothing to do with the Orb and are indeed fakes. Kwook www.kwookyworld.com It's in the oven.
Maybe we could finally get a SOLID verification from nibiru? (not that I'm thinking that these are the Orb, but it'd be nice for point of argument that 'the orb told me so')... I ran across some supposed trance pink floyd remixes -- these sound even worse. -----Original Message----- From: orb-admin@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:orb-admin@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Simon Bennett Sent: Saturday, November 23, 2002 10:19 AM To: orb@mailman.xmission.com Subject: Re: [Orb] Pink Floyd Remixes At 05:08 PM 23/11/02 +0000, you wrote:

Ok, so I should save this message and re-post it every 6 months... LX has NOTHING to do with those cds. Sure there's these interesting connections between them, like: *Live 93's cover is similar to Pink Floyd's animals *Battersea Powerstation is inside the sleeve of ABTU *LX used to spin Pink Floyd while DJing in the chillout room in Heaven *Dave Gilmore is listed in the thanks section on Live 93 *the Wish You Were Here & DSOTM includes samples of the Orb But all that aside, there's no connection between LX and these. Tonight's homework assigment: pull out an Auntie Aubrey Remix disc, version not important. Listen to it, then listen to any of these Pink Floyd remix discs. Compare them, and then think about how the Orb remixes are more detailed than the PF discs. Also, all these came out around 93-94. That's 8 CDs, most over 70 minutes long. When would LX have time to do these? Between touring the world heavily in late 93 (Nibriu should be able to confirm this) and doing lots of remix work for other artists, there was simply no time. Other meaningless connections ... Guy Pratt, who worked with LX on some of the BadOrb tracks (Conduit?) and is apparently part of the Transit Kings project, was a session bassist for Floyd. Some of the sax stuff on Banco de Gaia's "Big Men Cry" album is by the same person as did the sax solo in "Great Gig in the Sky" on DSOTM. (oops, nowt to do with orb. i'll get me coat) -- "Always Read the Label" - anon.

He also toured with Floyd twice. Odd connection methinks... -- ^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^-^ bli recordings http://www.hotweird.com/loaf/
