From Antony Bryan's excellent web site at http://home.attbi.com/~star6n789/orbknow.html :
into the fourth dimension the classical/choral piece is: Allegri's Miserere. (said Miz-er-air-ay) It has a bit of a history that piece. It was a song performed only for and in the Vatican until Mozart wandered in, heard it and buggered the whole thing up by writing it down perfectly later on and having it performed. from 8:10 to end of song, extensively uses a Psychic TV song. (peel session) the organ stuff at the end (also on live93) is called "I do Like to be Beside the Seaside" I've been searching on the net a little for more info, but the above is the best I can find. Regards, Nick ;-)
Can anyone tell me what samples were used in this Ultraworld track? The choral music and violin samples?
Thanks!
Bizarre music links, what a great thread. As an asides, was Allegri's Miserere used in forth dimension as it is a quartet!!! Very tenuous I know. It did jog my memory to a discussion I was having in the pub over the weekend. Band names and where they come from. Very interesting. I was a little stumped when they all looked at me and said 'so where do The Orb get their name from?' Some fan I am! Can anyone shed any light on that one, please.
