Orb Live Brighton Concord
Hi All, Well.........up until the power went off around 1.00am everything was great.. LXP and Sherman both played excellent Dub style sets.The guy who was toasting and stuff along to the tunes was brilliant...big up to you mate The Orb came on excellent sound played some great stuff.....The Land of Green Ginger sounded great ...blistering version of Perpetual Dawn (loaded with Mikey Dread samples).......and really just as they were moving into the newer work off went the power.shame coz the vibe and sound was the best ive felt for a long time. until next time......... that was "the corpral" who does the vocals on "from a distance", and i assume that the plan was for him to come on later and do live vocals... ...before the power f*cked up. :-< it didn't get any better either, as the crew had to break down most of the stage with just two torches for light, until someone got a floodlight working. imho, all the best stuff on the night was when Simon got off the mixing desk and played live bass - just a shame that we didn't get to hear EDM, as we were all hoping to.
