Where have I heard this before? I think one of the Peel Sessions?
I just received the disc today (if anyone cares, I'm in Arizona so others in the US should be receiving their copies if they haven't already) & have only had a chance to listen to the first few tracks. I haven't looked at the credits, but is Cauty listed for Mummie Don't? There's a big KLF sound to it. I can hear some of the early 3AM Eternal tracks (London by night, on my own...) I believe there are also some samples from Chill Out. Is Mummie don't a track from Space before the break up? There's also the vocal sample about the space ship leaving the dock that's from the first Peel Session disc.
The track was played in one of the teatime sessions (too bad they stopped doing that...). Anyway - it might be there you have heard it ----- Original Message ----- From: "Matt Schieffer" <slugdub@gmail.com> To: "What were the skies like when you were young?" <orb@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Wednesday, October 12, 2005 3:17 AM Subject: [Orb] Mummie Don't Where have I heard this before? And LX used to play it at the beginning of sets in 2001, specifically that Ford Focus Area One real media file that is well circulated. Jason
ok ok, thanks both of you. I know i have the ford focus video in mention, and i may have heard the same teatime. I swear it bothers you drives you insane when you can't remember where you heard a song. Recently I was listening to the Erlend Oye DJ Kicks and couldn't remember where i had heard the Smith's "there is a light that never goes out" covered before... and someone finally figured out for me it was the Schneider TM vs. KPT Michigan track on Orb B2M, of all records. Not sure if this has been posted elsewhere; I can't seem to find the post. A few sample tracks from the new album: http://www.boomkat.com/label.cfm?l=1449 I'm impressed, so far. I'm hoping to hell that the Eurofen track is what I think it is..
