Orb live @ Portsmouth Poly 18-05-91
I have a bootleg of this gig which is a 1:14:30 mp3. What I'd love to know from any knowing Orb head is the title of the haunting track the dj plays before the gig starts. It's a sort of Indian trance track with a female voice being played backwards through some sort of gated filter, amidst some "poppy" noises. I have no clue who the dj was or what the track is - could it be DJ Lewis? Any info would be appreciated because this is one lush track - I love it when bootleg recording begins before (and ends after) the gig so that you get a fuller flavour - and this one is a delight. _________________________________________________________________ NHS National Services Scotland Disclaimer The information contained in this message may be confidential or legally privileged and is intended for the addressee only. Hi. I was at that show........it was a Student Ball......quite weird loads of students with full penguin suits and the girls all in full dinner dresses.....It was one of those evenings where a few of us managed to bunk in......I live in Portsmouth As for the indian chanting on the intro DJ track i dont know.i have just listened to the start of the MP3 i have.it seems to be a classic 1991 Rave tune with chanting over the top.mind you there were loads of these sort of tracks about then. Sorry cant really help but it was a good night......Orb had Thrash and a proper drummer in the band then.superb Regards Mark ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hunter, Matthew" <Matthew.Hunter@psd.csa.scot.nhs.uk> To: <orb@mailman.xmission.com> Sent: Tuesday, July 04, 2006 10:59 AM Subject: [Orb] Orb live @ Portsmouth Poly 18-05-91

I was wondering the same thing about the track that Alex plays in Portland '97. Not the intro leading into "Spanish...", but the beatless ambient piece before that. Anyone know? Thanks, Rene --- "Hunter, Matthew" <Matthew.Hunter@psd.csa.scot.nhs.uk> wrote:
