This is newer than the live thing? Someone update me, I seem to have been sleeping. To whomever posted about the Japanese dates for System 7, I feel ya. A trip to Japan for ONE of the shows would probably cost me me three months' income. That's frightening. And I've probably got a place to stay while I'm there! So what's this I hear about a Mad Professor "Orb" collaboration (did you notice I put quotes around the word "Orb" to show my contempt for the last album)? That might actually be good. Considering that B&T is worse than the last Luke Slater record by a mile... ____________________ www.psychicreform.com ____________________ "Be who you are... not what's cool." --Chef.

Eeew. You ~listen~ to Luke Slater??!!! seek
Nah, it was supposed to be the MadOrb project - a remix collaboration - i.e. LX mixing Mad Professor tunes and vice versa... I've got one of the tracks (grabbed it off a "Blue Room" show earlier on this year), but it seems to have all gone quiet on the release front, just like that live DVD thing mentioned a while back... :-( L8rs, Nick ;-)

Been off-list for awhile, so I've probably missed plenty of B&T discussions. I think, aside from a couple giant question marks (like the booty house song = ??!!), the Orb is still brilliant - this album is just a bit "trackier" as in things just go for awhile and then stop, then onto something else. But, the album has many strong tracks and there is still nobody that puts stuff together like LX and crew. Just like Rush is never doing Moving Pictures again, we can't expect Orb to just rehash Ultraworld ad nauseum. (I personally think Terrarvm is the pinnacle of Orbness, but the comparison is more valid with MP/UW.) T
Didn't alex mention something about coming "full circle" with B&T? Anyways, if thats true, they should be moving back into Pomme Fritz/Terrarvm phase in a few years...I like to hear their songs get more experimental again. Yer Pal, Gel-Sol www.gel-sol.com

PF/T - that would be nice. LX comments on B&T - anyone got any links to good interviews or anything like that? Like I say, I've been out of the loop. Thanks, T

Um, because like all religions, Islam does not encourage cognition, reason, individualism, or innovation as ideals? T "The advocates of mysticism are motivated not by a quest for truth, but by hatred for man's mind." - Rand
Bingo! Nice to see a Rand quotation on here. "What is mysticism? Mysticism is the acceptance of allegations without evidence or proof, either apart from or against the evidence of one's senses and one's reason. Mysticism is the claim to some non-sensory, non-rational, non-definable, non-identifiable means of knowledge, such as 'instinct,' 'intuition,' 'revelation,' or any form of 'just knowing.'" - Ayn Rand, Taken From "Faith and Force: The Destroyers of the Modern World" On Thu, 23 Sep 2004, Tim C wrote:
