FA: The thing is: nobody (or only a very small minority) in here has seriously discussed the latest Kompakt Orb release, the new remixes disk or Fehlmann's release. I find that strange, the Orb makes three new 'records' and on the orblist we discuss about politics. Well, we don't discuss actually, we flame and we insult. We are more and more becoming those two old guys from the Muppet show. I only hope that LX isn't Kermit though. So who will write a critical review on the latest disks then, anyone?
Felix
Well, since B&T was such utter shit I would think a lot of us aren't willing to hunt out an album without some word on it. The one review on the Kompakt Orb I've heard was that it's boring and sounds like Fehlmann. Still waiting before going to try to buy this because if it sucks I don't wanna waste my time and money. Sounded like the Fehlmann record might be interesting but again, only one person has commented. I don't remember any review of the remixes disk though someone said the Orb cut was lame... I think. Actually it's been really quiet of late. It seems we went a week at one point with only one digest. Freaky. It was also very quiet during this last election here and it was violently noisey around the beginning of the war in Iraq. ____________________ www.psychicreform.com ____________________ "Political criticism is our enemies' best friend." Well to bring back some Orb discussion, I have a quick question. I'm sure i'ts been discussed, but bare with me: What's the best and worse track off of B&T and why? I would comment myself, but only heard the albumn briefly.. I deffinatly would vote from a distance as worst upon that quick listen though.
I really really love the last track. Totally ambient, but seriously beautiful. --- Trey Smith <smith.trey@gmail.com> wrote:

no problem! funny though, i actually like gee strings (bought it on the first kompakt release they had).. now, i can admit it's not that great just to listen to, but it actually mixes really well.. deffinatly more in the minimal techno realm than "orb" realm. Worst track - Gee Strings. Why? Just listen. Worst orb track ever.

I can see that.

And that's my problem with it. It's a track. I don't buy orb for tracks. And, IMO, it's quite a dull track at that. -matt
