The MBM gig broadcast has now ended. Had I known sooner, I would've had my FM antenna set up so I could get a better recording. Nonetheless, I recorded it with Sound Forge XP 7.0 in real time via their webcast. 128kBps, 44.1kHz stereo. This was a straight soundboard recording, so there's no audience noise except for when Jack's mic is on. Not perfect, but they did play the entire gig (I believe) commercial free. There area few talk overs by Chris Widman meeting the FCC requirements. Gavin --- Matt Schieffer <slugdub@gmail.com> wrote:

Did not hear Asbestos Lead Asbestos I think, and I was at the show the night before and they didn't play it.. but there where 1 or 2 songs from Subliminal Sandwich, the only album I've ever really bought by them. What else should I get to get some of those tracks they played live? Didn't they have a live album and/or DVD? My god their live show is almost better than Orb.. almost. They played three or four tracks from 99% - my favorite MBM release. IIRC, they played Psyche Out, Hello Teenage America and Now from that album. When the shows hits a server please let the list know. I'll bend my no mp3 rule for an attended show. Big thanks!! -matt
Though 99% is my favorite, I usually recommend Actual Sounds and Voices. Subliminal Sandwich is tops as well. -----Original Message----- From: orb-bounces+nothing=ultraworld.org@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:orb-bounces+nothing=ultraworld.org@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of Matt Schieffer Sent: Friday, August 19, 2005 8:19 AM To: What were the skies like when you were young? Well whatever that 'new weapon, a new weapon' song is, is good too. They did that live when I saw em, and possibly at the following nights metro show.. didn't hear it all so I don't know. All that dubby bass.. blew me away at the time. I think I bought that album cuz listees told me too.. like 5 years ago. Daddy Likes.. daadddy likes. Satyricon for sentimental reasons, Subliminal Sandwhich for pure music content. They are all great though, who else is feeling DJ Spooky's Drums of Death? Jack Dangers is ALL OVER that record, it's the shazzle, I kid you not.
