Hahaha the US government has all kinds of data on their own websites about it... I will provide plenty of links: Campaign Against Depleted Uranium: http://www.cadu.org.uk/ This is a page from a US military organization called "Office of the Special Assistant for the Gulf War Illness": http://www.gulflink.osd.mil/faq_17apr.htm Here's a .gov site describing it: http://web.ead.anl.gov/uranium/ Here's an entire section of the BBC website devoted to DU: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/in_depth/europe/2001/depleted_uranium/default.stm Here's an epidemiologist writing about her concern for its use: http://www.iicph.org/docs/DU_Human_Rights_Tribunal.htm Here's a site which describes in depth what weapons the US uses which contain this substance and during which wars we used them: http://www.cursor.org/stories/uranium.htm Here's a link from the world health organization website: http://www.who.int/ionizing_radiation/env/du/en/ Here's a discussion on WPI's website claiming that the stuff is relatively harmless: http://cnts.wpi.edu/rsh/Docs/OtherDocs/du/medical_effects_of_du_ZJ.htm The way I feel about this stuff is: Its fucking uranium. This is not fun stuff to be exposed to. It's a heavy metal like lead or mercury, and hence is very bad to be exposed to above and beyond its radioactivity... Of course, we are exposed to 3000 rads of radiation yearly from the sun, earth, and space (in comparison, a chest x-ray exposes you to about 2-15 rads), so it's really hard to say just what is a "safe" radiation exposure and what is an unsafe one. Witness the current discussion of dirty bombs... But I just think it's amazingly cynical and hippocritical of us to be throwing people in jail for allegedly PLANNING to explode a small device, when we ourselves are using the shit en masse in other countries.
Um, what you said is scarier than anything, but what evidence. do you have or where do you get such knowledge.
