Off topic sorry but I was curius
Were the shocking videos of the dead or arrested US soldiers broadcasted by the US tv channels? Sorry If I ask this here but its a first hand way to find out the truth about whether there is censorship or not in the US information about the war. Thanks Dimos
They were initially shown on BBC, although they're currently not showing the footage at the moment out of respect for the families concerned (apparently the footage also contains four dead US soldiers). Regards, Nick

Not repeatedly, I think. But I have only been listening to the radio (NPR/BBC), except for the Oscars last night, and the only images on ABC then were of a webcam in Baghdad (or something similar - still images updated every once and a while), some footage of some Iraqis shooting up a riverbank, stock aircraft-taking-off stuff, and the flashy graphics and titles. Hooray for the Academy Awards: Hollywood is irritating and irrelevant (I was ready to strangle Steve Martin after about 5 minutes). Independents, foreign cinema (including trans national Mexican/American -- really glad to see the beginnings of pan-American inclusion in US culture. *America* is far more than just the US!! :) are making the good stuff (The Pianist, Columbine, Frida, etc). rh
Interesting enough, the only way I was able to watch any of this footage without cable tv, was to head out to my friendly neighborhood P2P client software and download it. I've never grabbed a file so fast from Kazaa in my life, with 84 people sharing the dnld at once. On Sunday, March 23, 2003, at 12:05 PM, Nick King wrote:
