I don't think it's lame, unless you can actually see the gap in the mp3 waveform. Most mp3 players do this by default when the file is loading. There was even a plugin for winamp called "gapless" that was supposed to prevent that from happening. I tried it and it seemed help a bit, but it still wasn't a seemless transition. Also the Mr Sandman track was listed as John Carpenter, I'm guessing because it was on the Halloween II soundtrack, but its performed by the chordettes. Also track 7 seems to be titled shuffle on most, but its suppose to be shuttle isn't it? But after loading up the mp3 in soundforge and zooming into the waveform, it has around 500 frames of silence that are not in the uncompressed wav. Not sure why lame is doing this, I tried many different combos of bitrate, quality etc all with the extra frames being inserted at the start..
