If by bad ass, you mean sucking the snotty froth off a donkey's fuckstick, then yes, it looks pretty bad ass. The last movie was absolute garbage, and this one looks no different. Yer Pal, Gel-Sol www.gel-sol.com

I actually enjoyed matrix reloaded. I just like to zone out to really glossy special effects and hybridized animated fighting. That one scene where Neo fights off hundreds and hundreds of the same 'agent'.. I dig that stuff. I think of the crew who put the expression and detail uniquely on each individual character. Brilliant piece of computer graphics. The story has plenty of cheesiness, and it gets a bit self important. A bit much on the crackpot philosophy, absolutely. Regards, Mark Schieldrop

I agree there was plenty to enjoy, but that fight didn't do it for me. Unlike "bullet time" which is real photography, the "Burly Rumble" as they called just looked a bit too CGI for me. In fact there are bits of the PS2 Enter the Matrix game which look better to my eyes. I just like very minor geeky stuff like the keymaker, the mountain fortress, the "power-suit gunslinger" guy at the entrance to zion, and for every moment of overwhelming crapness ("I just love you too damn much") there is another cool bit like "return to your exit points, agents are coming" or Agent Smith going "Me, Me, Me..."

I liked disc 2 of the soundtrack, there's a long track on the extra disc which I think is Don Davis and Juno Reactor. It sounds really great on my big speakers (not that I ever get to use them these days) -- http://homepage.mac.com/mihalis68/PhotoAlbum6.html
Yeah man matrix 2 was absoute conk shite You guys know greg hunter worked on that? He engineered for benny 'napkin' i.e. juno reactor With his banal music will swallow the world with nob cheese Greg said all the good bits he done on the soundtrack They turned down really low... Fuckin tosspots Basically when I went to see it My whole row started laughing when that gong went off And it turned into the sun readership version of the matrix In my opinion they should never have gone back to zion Or done it a whole lot differently to that I mean when zillions of robots are coming to destroy you You don't set up all the speakers Put all your see-through gear on And start writhing up against everybody do you? Oh, you do? Oh.. Ok Anyway the only bit I liked was the bit with a thousand agents in it And that looked like it had been farmed out to some fx company.. I love the story But I feel most of that story was bolted on from the first You could easily make up loads of shit about the matrix If someone gave you millions and said do a sequel You can smell the money injected into it It becomes less of a film and more of a commodity -- )) (( c[_] bLiP www.justablip.co.uk (don't bother going there) www.justablip.co.uk -----Original Message----- From: orb-bounces@mailman.xmission.com [mailto:orb-bounces@mailman.xmission.com] On Behalf Of gel-sol@gel-sol.com Sent: 22 August 2003 21:15 To: orb@mailman.xmission.com Subject: Re: [Orb] OT: Matrix Revolutions trailer released If by bad ass, you mean sucking the snotty froth off a donkey's fuckstick, then yes, it looks pretty bad ass. "If by bad ass, you mean sucking the snotty froth off a donkey's fuckstick, then yes, it looks pretty bad ass. The last movie was absolute garbage, and this one looks no different." Perhaps, but you're still going to go see the third one, right? :)
I dunno....I dont watch alot of movies these days....I either watch epic-kubrick type films, or sooper low brow comedies. Sci-Fi is a touchy genre...most sci-fi movies are sooper-gay, but If I were to make a movie, it would most likely be a sci-fi. And to stay on topic with the Orb, I think the Orb should do a movie soundtrack...or at least make another album as good as Orbvs Terrarvm. And I am looking forward to Wayne Coyne's (Flaming Lips) Christmas on Mars. He's making it in his house! Yer Pal, Gel-Sol www.gel-sol.com

It might be crap, but I have a hard time watching the first two parts of a trilogy and missing the third. Though I do wish I'd never gone to see Jaws 3D :) An Orb movie soundtrack would be awesome, especially if it's in the same vein as Terrarum. But what type of movie would Orb be best at doing a soundtrack for? Sci-Fi? Horror? For that matter, how about Thrash? Porn. Definitely porn.

I could see Pomme Fritz as the soundtrack to Memento Captures the whole disturbing "what the hell is going on" feel -- Jeff

Even if they did a soundtrack to something like Baraka, I think that would be cool....I would rather of heard Plateau than the sort of cliched, ambio-ethnic movie soundtrack music. Not a great example, but I like the Virgin Suicides much better with the Air soundtrack... Someone sent me a link a while back that Aphex Twat was gonna do the soundtrack for Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which is most likely not true, cuz he usually uses Elfman for his flix..... And as long as I'm talking about Dick James, is Chris Cuntingham still gonna make Neuromancer? Now if that had an Aphex soundtrack, I could see that being the next great Sci-Fi movie since uh...... I was gonna say Blade Runner, but I think Donnie Darko qualifies as a sci-fi flick, and that movie was pretty boss. Oh yeah, sorry about the repeat posts.....Safari crashed everytime I sent them, so I wasn't sure if they went out or not. Yer Pal, Gel-Sol www.gel-sol.com

NO WAY! Are you letting the machine download fixes and updates? My machine has been very stable. I've made a couple of DVDs and ripped hundreds of my cds, so it has had to work hard for its keep -- http://homepage.mac.com/mihalis68/PhotoAlbum6.html
