Well, it really doesn't exist but. . . Most of us received a little surprise with BOB 4. The tracks on this "supposedly extant" record are the same as the audio samples for BOB 2 on the badorb site. There was some speculation that these Ayumi mixes never obtained the proper licensing and that is why it had to be put out on an unmarked record that doesn't even exist. It also explains why BOB 2 has different tracks then the badorb site samples. This e-mail will self destruct in 30 seconds. . . ----- Original Message ----- From: Chris Sent: Friday, January 25, 2002 12:44 PM To: orb@mailman.xmission.com Subject: Re: [Orb] Bob 4.5 What the hell is BOB4.5? Second, not only does it exist, I have have two copies! :) Altho they have been, admittedly, disavowed by the label that pressed them (what a bunch of freaks over thete at badorb, eh!?)
Bob 4.5 DOES NOT EXIST!!!!!!! Suggesting otherwise is
grounds for immediate death! :-)

hey kids! ok, how about a topic we can all enjoy, eh? ;) anyone know who's performaing with LX on this upcoming DJ tour, or what other sonic delights to expect? =) rachel
Any news on when all this Badorb stuff will be released on CD? I'm curious to hear what all the commotion has been about for so long...I'm guessing the samples on the website don't do them justice. Are they actually anything like the Orb? james (who just can't be persuaded to go and buy a record player in the 21st century)

"Soon." In BadOrb terms, that probably means early next year. ;)

Considering about half of them *are* the Orb, sliced and diced various ways, yes, yes they often do sound like the Orb. ;) Loophead and Multiverse in particular are quite tasty. Then there's the upcoming one that is actually going to be from "The Orb"...

It took the BOBs to finally convince me to take the plunge...now I'm buying crazy amounts of OOP vinyl on eBay... Chris (who's partner recently bought the Ocean's 11 soundtrack...so now I have *that* Elvis song on CD...) np: v/a - Ikki mix
